What Are the Technical and Stage Requirements?

Randy’s show is easy to set up. For most events, Randy just needs a wireless handheld microphone with a stand, connected to a sound system, and a small, well-lit performance area at the front of the room.

For performances that require a stage, a raised platform is helpful but not necessary. It is important that the audience members can see Randy and the volunteers who will be performing with him.

For larger events at theatres, ballrooms, conferences, and gala dinners, Randy will work with your AV crew to make sure everything is set up in advance.

For close-up magic and mentalism performances, there is no need for a stage, microphone, or any special performance setup. Randy will perform directly for the guests of your event.

Is Randy’s Show Clean and Family-Friendly?

Yes. Randy’s comedy is appropriate for corporate, adult, and family audiences.

The comedy is smart, interactive, and not mean-spirited. Randy never embarrasses his guests, does offensive or political material, or uses language that would make an event planner nervous.

Randy will tailor every show to his audience, the room, and the event to deliver a professional comedic performance that will have the audience laughing and talking about the event for the right reasons.

How Much Does It Cost to Hire Randy?

The fees are dependent upon the event date, city, audience size, show format and travel requirements.

For corporate events, conferences, galas, holiday parties and VIP events, Randy will provide a custom quote based upon what will work best for your group.

Just provide Randy with the details of your event, and he will provide you with a quote and inform you of his availability for your date.

How Far in Advance Should I Book?

It is best to book as soon as your event date is confirmed. Many of the most popular dates for galas, conferences, holiday parties, and corporate events are booked months in advance.

Ask anytime about availability for last-minute events. If your date is available, Randy can usually hold the date for you briefly while you confirm the event with your team.

Will Randy Travel to My City?

Yes. Randy travels throughout Canada, the United States and internationally.

When travel is required, he'll provide an all-inclusive quote including the performance fee and travel.

To find out if Randy can perform at your event, simply send him your event date, city, venue, audience size and type of event. Randy will be able to recommend the best format for your event and what is required to ensure that Randy performs smoothly at your location.

Yes. Randy’s show is highly interactive with his audience members.

Randy ensures that his guests are involved in a fun, respectful, and comfortable manner. No audience member is ever embarrassed or made to feel foolish.

How Long is the Show?

Randy’s standard stage show is 50 minutes.

This length of the stage performance is ideal for events following dinner, conferences, galas, award nights, holiday parties, and corporate events.

For cocktail hours, receptions, and networking events, Randy’s strolling close-up magic and mentalism show is usually booked for 60 minutes.

For some events, the best option is to book Randy to perform his strolling close-up magic and mentalism when the guests are arriving and mingling, then later for his full stage show experience.
